Today, we heard from Julius. Julius is in the process of relocating to the USA and had a question in that regard.
Here is Julius’ question:
Hi Bob,
We will be migrating soon to the US. we would be filing for residency there. Is there a way for me to still be a US national and then still be a Pilipino so i could stay here in the country after i become a naturalized US Citizen?
Your Reply will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
And, here is our answer to Julius:
It is not a problem, Julius. When you become eligible to Naturalize and gain Citizenship in the US, do so. Then, file a form with the Philippine Embassy to request the re-acquisition of your Philippine Citizenship. Once you do that, you are a citizen of both countries. Good luck.
Thank you for visiting, Julius, and good luck with your new life in the States!
